We welcome writers who want to learn more about poetry craft, and revision. First, we read each other’s poems and offer suggestions. As time permits, we write for 15 minutes to a prompt (optional sharing), and/or discuss the printed lesson handout which is also emailed soon after the class session.
This Oasis class looks at the history and artwork of African American artists from 1920 to 1960, covering the Harlem Renaissance through the Civil Rights Movement. Using a PowerPoint presentation and discussion, we will see how artists responded to the events of their time.

Explore layering, blending, and texture techniques that turn ordinary supplies into extraordinary tools for calm and creativity. Materials needed: colored pencils, a tortillion or Q-tips, and paper. Bring what you own, we will discuss how to use them effectively.
While there is no way to guard our privacy and personal data perfectly, we CAN do things that tighten our security. This class covers specific settings you can change easily on the Android phones you own to improve this security. There will be ample time for questions.
